Epic London Restaurants: A Foodie Guide
London is a city renowned for its culinary scene, with some of the world’s best restaurants and chefs calling it their home. But with so many epic dining options to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to start.
Over the last decade I’ve easily dined at over 200 London Restaurants and thought that it’s about time I share some of the coolest culinary experiences out there for those looking for a truly unique London restaurant.
My list contains the craziest and coolest London restaurants currently in existence! These are the restaurants that will be seriously hard to forget. So, why not do something a little different and check them out for yourself!
Top 10 Coolest Restaurants in London:
1. Dans Le Noir
Dans Le Noir is easily one of the coolest restaurants in London – you literally experience food in complete darkness! The concept behind the restaurant is that by removing sight, you can better appreciate the taste, smell, and texture of the food through an alternative sensory journey.
The menu is a surprise – you don’t know what you’re eating until the end of the meal*, where you’ll see pictures and descriptions of the dishes you’ve just eaten. It was quite shocking to learn how different things looked compared to how we’d pictured them in our heads!
Also, all of the waiters and waitresses are blind or partially sighted, which allows you to truly experience the richness of diversity.
Overall, this has got to be one of the craziest restaurants in London and possibly the world. It’s 100% worth checking out at least once in your lifetime.

*Note: You can tell Dans Le Noir what you can’t eat (e.g. any allergies) and they adapt the menu so that your experience is 100% safe.
2. Monopoly Lifesized
Monopoly Lifesized is so much fun and its Top Hat Restaurant & Bar is undoubtedly one of the coolest restaurants in London for people of all ages!
At Monopoly Lifesized you’ll get to experience an immersive, physical version of the world’s favourite game, which you play on a 15m x 15m life-sized Monopoly board, before heading to grab a bite to eat at The Top Hat Restaurant & Bar.
The Restaurant & Bar offers food with a hint of gameplay and special Monopoly twists. After winning the game, I very much enjoyed eating my Cash Cow Burger!
Tickets for this unique London restaurant experience are available from £49 per person.

3. The Clink
This is no ordinary London restaurant – it’s a restaurant located within a prison, staffed by real inmates who are being trained in hospitality skills!
The Clink works in partnership with Her Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service to provide prisoners with vocational training and a chance to gain employment upon release.
If you choose to dine at this unique London restaurant, you can enjoy genuinely delicious food while supporting the rehabilitation of offenders. What an awesome concept!

4. Archipelago
Warning: This London restaurant is not for the faint hearted!
Archipelago is one of the craziest London restaurants in existence. It offers diners a taste of the exotic with its menu of unusual meats, such as smoked python and zebra jerky.
If you have more of a sweet tooth, why not finish the night with assorted caramel bugs? The culinary experience honestly feels like a bush-tucker trial!
Archipelago’s decor is equally exotic, with taxidermy animals and tribal artefacts on display, making it one of the coolest restaurants in London and one you won’t easily forget!

5. Bunga Bunga
Bunga Bunga is a tongue-in-cheek Italian restaurant and bar located in Covent Garden. The restaurant is themed around former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, with a menu featuring dishes named after Italian celebrities.
Bunga Bunga is known for being one of the most buzzing venues in London, making it ideal for hosting birthday parties and events.
For me, what makes Bunga Bunga one of the coolest restaurants in London is their epic side-splitting comedy and cabaret performances. I’m also a big fan of their pizzas that literally span the length of the table – you won’t go hungry here that’s for sure! 🍕🍕🍕

6. Inamo
Inamo has been around for years and is 100% one of the coolest restaurants in London. It’s an Asian fusion restaurant that uses interactive technology to enhance the dining experience.
This restaurant boasts some truly impressive technology, with features ranging from projected menus directly onto your plate to the unique “chef cam” that allows you to observe your meal being prepared by the culinary experts themselves.
If you’re someone who loves a little friendly competition, then you absolutely must try playing Battleships against whoever dares to sit opposite you!

7. Circus
Ever fancied sushi with a side of sexy dancers and fire breathers? If so, head here! 🔥🔥🔥
Circus has got to be one of the trendiest restaurants in London. I don’t know what’s better, the global dishes on offer or the incredible entertainment, featuring acrobats, dancers, and contortionists.
For an amazing night out in the capital, I highly recommend coming to this epic London restaurant.

8. La Bodega Negra
Once you’ve passed this restaurants seedy-looking neon signs saying ‘Adult Video’ and ‘Peep Show’ (all part of the mischief), you’ll venture to the basement of what I consider to be one of the coolest restaurants in London.
Once you’re inside La Bodega Negra, there’s an air of cheekiness and the cave-like, candle-lit interior is super chic. The high-end Mexican menu is always a winner too.

9. Bob Bob Ricard
Bob Bob Ricard is inspired by the Orient Express and made for those who love a boujee experience.
When you get here, you can literally press a button to summon champagne to your table, making it one of the most Instagram-worthy restaurants in London!
It’s not all just for show though, the food is great, featuring British and Russian cuisine. My all-time favourite dish here is the chocolate caviar!

10. The Little Yellow Door
The Little Yellow Door is a restaurant and bar located in Notting Hill and is specially designed to look like a house party, making it one of the coolest restaurants in London!
I love the informal atmosphere here, where you can enjoy sharing plates, cocktails and even board games and karaoke.

Conclusion
London is a city that never fails to impress when it comes to cool and unusual dining experiences. From dining in complete darkness to enjoying a meal while being entertained by fire breathing acrobats, there is something for everyone in London’s culinary scene! So enjoy! 🫒🍦🍣 🍱🍝 🍭🫖🍴
