Although this retreat feels like a WORLD away from city life, it’s still close enough to explore all of the best Al Ain highlights, such as Al Ain Zoo, Jebel Hafeet Mountain, and the Al Ain Oasis.

Al Ain Telal Resort offers guests a choice of luxurious accommodations, including villas, suites, and deluxe rooms. All accommodations are designed to provide the ultimate experience in comfort and relaxation, with all the modern amenities you need (air conditioning, TVs, and Wi-Fi etc.)

We opted to stay in the ‘’Gazelle villa’’, which is the perfect choice for a romantic UAE getaway. The villa features safari-themed carpets and bespoke handcrafted furniture, custom-made chandeliers, and a hand-carved bath – it felt extremely lavish!

The villa boasted breath-taking views of the desert, and had a private furnished terrace and fire pit, where we spotted wildlife like the Arabian Oryx casually wondering around while we toasted marshmallows over the fire! Have I convinced you to head here yet?

There’s also a fully equipped gym, outdoor swimming pool, and sauna, giving you plenty of options for wellness activities, it’s no wonder that this is actually one of the top spas in the UAE.

#4 Activities for the Whole Family

Al Ain Telal Resort is the perfect destination for a family vacation in the UAE, with a range of amazing activities available to keep everyone entertained.

Kids can enjoy the playground, while adults can take part in activities like desert safaris, camel trekking and dune buggy adventures.

We opted to do a 30-minute dune buggy ride, which was totally exhilarating! We even spotted a group of Gazelles wondering up the dunes nearby.

#5 Incredible Dining Experiences

Note: As with many places in the UAE, the Telal Resort is an alcohol-free premises.

The Resort has a range of dining options, including a poolside restaurant and a traditional Bedouin-style tent. I particularly recommend the gold dusted Tiramisu at the desert gate lounge – it was delish!

However, the true highlight for us was having a private dining experience at Twilight, which is located amid golden Arabian sands in the grounds of the resort.

Here we were treated to a pure feast of traditional Arabic food, such as assorted Hummus, Shish Tawook, and Umm Ali. Safe to say, we spent the rest of the evening in a food coma! If you’re looking for a truly authentic experience in the UAE, this is it!

#6 Sustainable Tourism

What really sets Al Ain Telal Resort apart is that it’s one of the most sustainable resorts in the UAE.

For example, Telal now has its own organic farm, which provides fresh produce to the resort’s restaurants. The Resort also uses solar power, and has implemented a waste management program.

So, if you stay at Telal you can rest easy knowing your stay will have a minimal impact on the environment. For me, this ethical factor truly makes it one of the best luxury desert resorts in the UAE.
